HOPESFALL Begins Recording New Abum
November 9, 2006HOPESFALL has just entered Vudu Studios in Long Island, NY with producer Mike Watts (AS CITIES BURN, AS TALL AS LIONS) to begin recording the follow-up to 2004's "A-Types". The band revealed that they have been working on new material for close to a year and fans should expect a further progression in their sound.
Commented guitarist Josh Brigham: "Our music has always been spacey and heavy, and we use those roots, combined with our love of grunge-era SMASHING PUMPKINS, DINOSAUR JR., HUM, and PIXIES, we add some bigger, heavier riffs." The songwriting has been a group effort, along with a collective goal to improve on the past albums. "We all admire bands that can morph and change with each album, and that is what we try to do. Expect change and progression, in both songwriting and overall style, on the new album."
HOPESFALL recently debuted a new song, "Bird Flu", on the "Trustkill Takeover II" compilation, which came out on October 31. The song will also appear on the forthcoming album in a slightly altered version.
HOPESFALL has been a popular live draw, staying on the road over the past few years with the heavyweight acts like UNDEROATH, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, COHEED & CAMBRIA, Vans Warped Tour, Take Action Tour and SUGARCULT, to name a few.
